Franchises and Naming Rights

I heard a story on NPR a couple of mornings ago that indicated that al-Quaeda was having trouble raising money. Unlike other groups (the Taliban, Shining Path, E.T.A.) they don't really have a lot of revenue streams. I realized that might actually be the reason why so many other terrorist groups are now adding the al-Quaeda name to theirs.

Terrorist 1: "No one cares if we blow up a building we're not they assume it's al-Quaeda's work"
Terrorist 2: "Why don't we join al-Quaeda then, Bin laden takes the blame and we get to blow stuff up"
Terrorist 1: We did just get this brochure on franchising and the costs of naming rights. It seem's reasonable,
Terrorist 3: "But Bin Laden's an a-hole."
Terrorist 4: "Are we reaaaaaallllly that desperate for publicity?"
Terrorist 3:"Couldn't we just become the People's Front of Judea instead - people love Monty Python references."
Terrorist 2: "Only ones from Holy Grail"
Terrorist 1:"OK al-Quaeda in Mauratania it is."
